These chapters are vital to our organization, as they promote community involvement, preserve cultural heritage, and provide support to the Bakossi community in their local areas and in Cameroon. Marion Nyake Epie
Pr
esident

Marion Nyake Epie-Alobwede is the proud President of BACDA-USA, hailing from the Ngombo-Aku clan. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of honorable service.

Under her leadership, BACDA-USA is committed to delivering essential resources like clean water, electricity, and roads. Marion is also passionate about cultural preservation for Bakossi youth in the diaspora. She has prioritized initiatives with the Cultural and Education Committees to ensure the younger generation remains connected to their heritage. A key achievement has been the creation of the Bakossi Youth Association, which hosts quarterly educational challenges and cultural events to engage the youth.

Emmanuel Ntiongome
Vice General Secretary

Emmanuel Ntiongome, who previously served as the BACDA MN chapter president for four years, currently holds the position of Assistant Secretary General for BACDA USA. He is recognized for his ardent leadership and willingness to contribute.

 For the preceding two years, Stanley Ebah, a native of Nninong, has commendably fulfilled the role of National Secretary. He contributes a distinctive combination of strategic foresight, compassionate discourse, and a deep-seated commitment to cultural heritage to this influential leadership body. As Secretary of BACDA, USA, his steadfast objective is to guarantee the precise and systematic promulgation and documentation of information within the association. Fundamentally, he is motivated by an aspiration to chart a course that not only favorably impacts others but also establishes an enduring legacy.

Chrispo Ajang
Vice President

Chrispo, the Vice President of BACDA USA, is an indispensable asset to the association. He commenced his involvement with the community as a lead vocalist during cultural evenings at conventions. Subsequently, he held the position of General Secretary and consistently demonstrates a readiness to provide assistance for the collective betterment of the Bakossi people.

Kennedy Ekane
Financial Secretary

 As a dedicated member of BACDA USA's Delaware chapter since 2011, Kennedy Ekane Ebuh, brings a wealth of experience in finance and commitment to the organization. Upon his arrival to the US, he quickly became involved, first serving as the Delaware chapter's vice president before transitioning to the role of financial secretary from 2016 to 2024. His service continued on at the national level when he was elected as National Financial Secretary in 2023, a position he currently holds. His long-standing involvement and proven track record demonstrate his dedication to BACDA USA's mission. He looks forward to continuing his work and contributing to the organization's success.

Delphine Ndialle
Social Secretary

Through his disciplined leadership, he is dedicated to connecting the people of today to the rich legacy of their past. Nhon is committed to ensuring the traditions and values of their heritage thrive for future generations, utilizing his unique skill set to preserve and celebrate BACDA USA's cultural identity

Communication Chair

With a rich history of leadership, Martin brings a deep understanding of organizational communication to his role as BACDA USA's Communications Chair. As a former chapter president, general secretary, and national president, he has firsthand experience in ensuring the effective flow of information at every level. Martin is committed to enhancing the association's digital presence, not only to serve its members but also to integrate and preserve the Bakossi culture. He aims to modernize communication channels to make them more accessible and engaging. His focus is on revamping social media to bridge the gap between the association and its Gen Z members, while also using these platforms to celebrate and share Bakossi traditions. By leveraging new platforms, he plans to foster a more connected and informed community. Martin's goal is to ensure BACDA USA's message is clear, consistent, and resonant with all its members, honoring its past while building its future.

Ivo Nkede
Legal Chair

A dedicated legal professional, Ivo Nkede chairs the Legal Affairs Committee for BACDA-USA. His impressive academic journey began with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Buea in Cameroon, followed by a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Denver College of Law. Ivo brings his advanced legal expertise and a strong commitment to ethical practice to his role, ensuring the committee upholds the highest standards of legal integrity while serving the community.

Gracian Mbome
Health Chair

With a distinguished record of service, Gracian brings invaluable experience to her role as BACDA's Health Committee Chair. As one of the pioneer members of BACDA Boston and a veteran of multiple leadership positions—including Social Secretary at both the chapter and national levels—she has a deep understanding of the organization's mission.Her commitment to the health and well-being of the community is evident through her long-standing leadership of the National Health Committee, a role she has held from 2019 to 2021, 2021 to 2023, and currently from 2023 to the present. Her dedication to care and strong family values, combined with her past service as Vice President of BACDA Houston, make her an invaluable leader in promoting the health and wellness of the Bakossi people.

Julius Njabebuh
Education Chair

Dr. Julius Njabebuh, a distinguished educator and leader, serves as the Education Chair for BACDA USA.  He holds a Ph.D. in Special Education and his work focuses on integrating ethics and cultural preservation into modern education.

Dr. Njabebuh is a strong advocate for teaching the Akose language in both Cameroon and the U.S., a testament to his dedication to preserving and promoting cultural heritage. His expertise and commitment are vital to shaping BACDA USA's educational initiatives.
